Under the Radar: The Answering Machine, Mascot Fight, Örnsberg

Chances are that you haven't heard any of these three bands, but you might want to take a second and give them a listen.

The Answering Machine

The Answering Machine are a quartet hailing from Manchester, UK who play infections part-rock sounding something like a combination of the Fratellis and Los Campesinos. Their upcoming album is due out in March, but you can download the fun, fresh "Another City, Another Sorry" below. Also, check out the band's MySpace page for more info and to hear a few more songs.

Mascot Fight
Also hailing from the UK, Mascot Fight recently released their debut full-length, Pantomime Hearse this past January. It's a brief blast of punk attitude coupled with jangly 60s pop that is catchy as can be. The song below, "Terry Is The Chicago Sun" is definitely on the more pop side of the band's sound; a lovely three-minutes of sunny melodies and bouncy guitars. Give it a listen/download and head over to Mascot Fight's MySpace page to hear more!

Örnsberg

Örnsberg is the recording name of Swedish musician Johan Ragnarsson, who is releasing his debut album in April via Perfectly Charming Records. His new song, "Weekend Lights," is a nice introduction from his upcoming debut; a fun bit of electro-pop that is available to stream over on his MySpace page. I also recommend you check out "Shoegazing," a techno-inspired tune that should really get you moving.
